Roaster Pigs

Looking for the perfect centerpiece for your next celebration? Our pasture-raised roaster pigs make any event memorable, from backyard barbecues and reunions to weddings and community feasts. Each pig is raised humanely and naturally right here in Missouri, resulting in flavorful, tender meat you’ll be proud to serve.

Sizes and Serving Estimates

Sullivan Farms offers whole roaster pigs ranging from 65 to 200 pounds dressed weight (also called hanging weight). This refers to the weight after cleaning and processing but before cooking.

During roasting, pigs typically lose 30–40% of their weight as fat and moisture render out. The final yield depends on your cooking method and how the meat is served.

As a general rule of thumb:

  • Plan for ½ to ¾ pound of cooked meat per person if it’s the main course.

  • If you’ll have plenty of sides or other proteins, ⅓ to ½ pound per person is usually enough.

Here’s a general guide:

  • 65–80 lb pigs are great for smaller gatherings, feeding roughly 25–45 people.

  • 90–120 lb pigs suit medium-sized events and feed around 50–90 guests.

  • 130–160 lb pigs work well for weddings or larger parties, feeding 80–125 guests.

  • 170–200 lb pigs are ideal for big celebrations or fundraisers, feeding up to 160 people depending on your menu.
